Job Summary:
A multi-function job: 1) Day to day support for non-technical Great Plains applications questions. 2) Analyze and resolve non-technical applications issues regarding application functionality. 3) Assist in developing reports to support end users.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience using ERP applications in a financial environment with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with Great Plains ERP applications especially: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales Order Processing, and Purchase Order Processing.
Specialist / Technical Skills Required / Preferred:
- Experience creating custom reports using FRx, Crystal Reports, SQL Report Services, Microsoft Access, or Great Plains Report Writer
- Experience using ERP applications in a financial environment
- Ability to quickly develop knowledge of the assigned business area’s products, processes, and systems
- Be familiar with common hardware, software, and operating
Qualifications Required or Preferred:
- At least 3 years experience using ERP applications in a financial environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Great Plains ERP applications especially: AP, AR, GL, Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Processing, Inventory, Manufacturing
- Four year degree in accounting, related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with SQL and Access databases preferred
- Demonstrated ability to follow-up and complete projects in a timely manner and exhibit the interpersonal and communication skills necessary to teach and assist non-accounting management in understanding their department operating procedures
- Strong knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information
- Possess strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Able to work under pressure, with a sense of urgency and deliver good service under time constraints
- Able to multitask along with strong detail orientation and organizational skills
- Willing to work nights and weekends when required
- Understand accounting business practices and terminologies
