Job Listing: Electrical Engineer

Aerotek Engineering is in search of an Electrical Engineer to join one of our manufacturing clients in Chattanooga, TN.

The primary responsibilities will require:
* Designs electrical systems for new products and custom order
*Implementing new product designs or product modifications and other functions necessary in the design and manufacturing of electrical/mechanical equipment.
* Provides technical support to internal and external customers, distributors, and contractors
* Prepares capital budgets and monthly project status reports
* Remains available on a 24-hour, 7-day on-call basis as principal respondent to physical plant emergencies and off-standard situations, as required
* Consults and interacts with Facilities Planning, Physical Plant Departments, Procurement Department and external consultants as appropriate regarding facilities modification/repair options, strategies, and cost; develops project specifications and prepares bid documentation
* Assists in insuring that the facility is inspection-ready at all times
* Supervises the work of contracted labor when necessary
* Expedites repair of critical equipment as breakdowns or failures occur
* Informs teammates of changes in technology, laws, codes, or regulations with regard to general facility maintenance
* Inspects the work of outside contractors for adherence to plans and specifications.
* Evaluates project sketches or blueprints and cost estimates to make implementation decisions
* Formulates and arranges plans to update systems or reduce operating costs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
¿ Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
¿ 2-3 years of project or maintenance engineering experience
¿ Prior experience in Preventative and Predictive Maintenance
¿ Prior experience in Lean Manufacturing Excellence programs preferred
¿ Superior project management skills
¿ Computer proficiency with SAP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
¿ Experience with SAP R/3 SAP BW preferred
¿ Change management adaptability and leadership
¿ Financial and business acumen
¿ Lean and business improvement knowledge
¿ Team based focus
¿ Extreme high level of business integrity
¿ Understanding of customer, competitor and supplier relationships
¿ Superior communication and interpersonal skills
