Job Listing: Oracle Database Administrator

TEKsystems in Des Moines is looking for qualified candidate to fill the role of Oracle DBA for a local client. This position is a Direct Placement opportunity. Contractors will not be considered.

Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and maintain logical and physical data models for the platform using the modeling tools
- Define business object/database table mappings and structures, fail-over strategies and distributed data strategies
- Install and maintain Oracle databases on UNIX/Tru 64; maximize availability, reliability, performance, and minimizing issues
- Develop, review and enforce database standards

Qualified Candidates will have:
- Demonstrated experience translating conceptual design and object models into logical and physical data models
- In-depth knowledge of and experience with Oracle on UNIX/Solaris
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation and organizational skills
