Job Listing: Maintenance Controller F/A-18

DS2 is hiring Maintenance Controllers for its program at China Lake NAWS in Ridgecrest, CA. The Maintenance Controllers will work with F/A-18 aircraft.

Job Description:

(MAINTENANCE CONTROLLER - F/A-18) Directs, coordinates, and monitors all maintenance/material actions necessary to retain or restore aircraft, material, equipment, or components to a serviceable condition with a minimum expenditure of resources in the most efficient practical manner. Must have an in-depth working knowledge of CNAF 4790.2 (series) NAMP, NALCOMIS, SCIR, and applicable T/M/S technical pubs. Must have experience supervising daily flight operations personnel supporting scheduled / unscheduled maintenance. Must be knowledgeable of technical directives; be knowledgeable of and understand basic supply procedures; possess a working knowledge of applicable aircraft and shall have worked a minimum of one year in a maintenance / production control position. Shall have experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy. Duties will include: Management of all aspects of maintenance, logs & records, configuration control, and all other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements:

All Maintenance Material Controllers shall possess an extensive background in the field of aircraft maintenance and material support with a minimum of ten years experience within the last 15 years in direct aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modification. Of the ten years experience in aircraft maintenance, six years shall be in a position that included responsibility for assigning program workloads as well as duties for entire shifts, and should have worked a minimum of one year in a maintenance/production control position.

Work Conditions:

China Lake is located on the high Mojave Desert Region, temperatures range from winter lows of mid 20's to summertime highs of 100+ degrees. Maintenance tasks are performed outdoors as well as in the maintenance hangar / shops.

This is a direct hire full time position that pays $27.34/hr with full benefits. Per diem of $119/day for the first 30 days for relocation is available.
