Job Listing: Electrical Engineer

Our client, a leader in the packaging industry, is currently seeking a senior Electrical Engineer to join their team.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

- PLC Programming using both Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC's
- Write programs, debug, and troubleshoot of the PLC's
- Design work of the electrical schematics utilizing CAD for the electrical panel boxes
- Develops conceptual designs from customer specifications and other information, e.g. wiring diagrams from schematics or verbal descriptions
- Both hands on (stand on shop floor and program- 50%) along with some design (sit at the desk and do the designing- 50%)
- Work as part of a team, interfacing with all technicians in the shop
- Occasionally install when heavy duty programming is necessary
- Minimal travel required (maximum 15% per year)

Pay: $65,000 to $80,000 a year

REQUIREMENTS:

- Associates Degree, but preferably a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years experience in Electrical Engineering because this person must hit the ground running
- Strong understanding of PLC programming, especially with Allen Bradley and additionally with Siemens
- Must be able to write programs, debug, and troubleshoot of PLC's
- Must have previous experience with the design of electrical schematics, designing electrical panels
- The ideal candidate will be able to work and be part of a team, interfacing with other technicians on the shop floor
- Minimal experience with AutoCAD (electrical). If this person has the other essentials, our client would be willing to send this person for training in CAD
- Great personality is required
