Job Listing: WAQTC Special Inspector

This position will conduct field special inspection for Concrete, Soil, Asphalt, and Aggregates. Inspectors observe work in progress to ensure that procedures and materials conform to contract documents and applicable codes; examine finished work to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction; maintain daily log of construction and inspection activities; prepare related reports and records; prepare samples of soil or other materials for testing; interpret blueprints and specs; perform calculations relative to inspection requirements. Communicate with on-site staff to solve problems.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- WAQTC Certification.
- Knowledge of state & local WAQTC codes & regulations; ability to read, including blueprints, write; mathematical calculations; building standards; terminology & construction methods; occupational health & safety standards, inspection methods, procedures & record keeping.
- Ability to read and understand data and properly record collected information.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
