Job Listing: Buyer / Planner

Aerotek is currently seeking for a buyer/planner a leading company considered one of the world leading suppliers of Thermal and Rheology Instrumentation.
We are seeking for a candidate with at least 5 years of previous experience as buyer/planner. The candidate must have a strong knowledge of purchasing electronic goods, electromechanical parts, components and supplies.
Must be able to have a good understanding of purchasing/planning at domestic and international level with understanding of brokers and lead times for ocean freight and air
Prior experience, understanding MRP systems, forecasting, inventory control, and production scheduling
Ability to work as a team member to develop a more effective process
People skills are essential, need to be able to resolve conflict, analyze situations and solve problems.
Effective communication, verbal and written with the ability to work with individuals at all levels

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelors’ Degree in related field plus Purchasing/Planning experience preferred or equivalent working experience at an international level
5 + years in a manufacturing/purchasing environment with a working knowledge of MRP.

Individual must have project analytical, decision-making, and interpersonal skills to enable them to contribute effectively to the planning team.
Candidates must be prepared to travel both domestically and internationally.

This position is paying $60-75K and offers excellent benefits. Candidates must be willing to submit for an extensive interview process that will require a drug and criminal background check.
