Job Listing: Quality Control Chemist

Our client in Rockville, MD is looking for a QC Chemist to help provide analytical and technical support to the Quality Control Manager on projects.

Description:

The Quality Control Scientist provides analytical and technical support to the Quality Control Manager, Technical Operations. Coordinates analytical and physical testing of pharmaceutical products and packaging components, and reporting of results by contract laboratories. Monitors stability studies of developmental, clinical, and commercial pharmaceutical products and packaging components tested by contract laboratories. Reviews, enters, and maintains stability data for developmental, clinical, and commercial pharmaceutical products and packaging components. Facilitates transfer of analytical and physical test methods between contract facilities in the US, and other international affiliates. Generates and maintains QC documentation, including protocols, reports, and test methods.

Requirements:

The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelors degree in chemistry or related science. 5+ years in a GMP environment focused on analytical laboratory testing is required. Must have proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel. Must have worked with Solid Oral Dosage. Must be able to travel about 10% of the time. Experience in physical testing, e.g., ASTM methods, is desirable.
