Job Listing: Rail Car Mechanic/Painter

A nationwide company in the North Salt Lake area is currently looking for a Mechanic/Painter to fill an open position immediately. We are a very large rail car company that is subcontracted by UTA to overhaul and refurbish old New Jersey transit rail cars so we are currently looking for experienced mechanics who have previous experience painting metals as well. We are looking for candidates who have experience turning wrenches as a Aircraft Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic or Automotive Mechanic with at least 2 years experience. Candidates will be responsible for reading blueprints and the assembly and disassembly of our rail cars. To qualify you must have experience painting metal since the job will include mixing paint and applying it to the body of the rail car. Candidates must be reliable and willing to be flexible with their everyday job duties.
