Job Listing: Instrument/Electrical (I/E) Technician

Successful company in Syracuse, NY is looking for a Instrument/Electrical (I&E)Technician.

JOB DUTIES:

- Working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the I&E technician will perform routine and emergency maintenance on the facility's electrical and control systems and equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators, switchgear and auxiliaries.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERISTICS:

- At least five years of experience as a Maintenance Instrumentation/Electrician in a power plant or a similar field
- Strong working knowledge of electrical transmission and distribution equipment from 120 V to 115 kV
- Ability to work from P&I Diagrams
- Strong working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
- strong working knowledge of computers (word/excel)
- Candidates must be able to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights
- Must be capable of working outdoors in both warm and cold temperatures, as well as being exposed to warm indoor environments
- Respirator qualifications are also required


Candidates must be able to work in excess of 8 hours per day if required and be expected to respond to call-ins when necessary.

Pay range is based on experience.
