Job Listing: Websphere Administrator

Long term contract with a Fortune 500 company for a Websphere Admin.

The middleware administrator will join a team that focuses on middleware and application administration with a focus on WebSphere MQ. Responsibilities will include installation, configuration, administration of WebSphere environments, application monitoring, system uptime, deployments, environment configuration and tuning. Some evening and weekend work is required for maintenance window deployments.

Required Experience:
- 5+ years experience in a system admin / middleware application admin role
- Strong knowledge of WebSphere Application Server 5.1/6.x including
- Installation and updating
- Configuration and performance tuning
- Administration
- Knowledge of WebSphere MQ 5.3/6.x including
- Knowledge of Windows and Solaris
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Desired Experience
- Basic Knowledge of IBM Datapower SOA Appliance
- Basic knowledge of J2EE
- Basic knowledge of Oracle and SQL
