Job Listing: Field Tech

Work week is currently 5 days, 8 hrs ea., 7:30am – 4:00pm. This may change after initial training, possibly to a 4 day week, 10 hr days.
The individual will need to qualify as a KAPL radiological worker and go through the KAPL operator training to learn the systems
Upon completion of the operator training, the bulk of the duties are as follows:
Daily surveillance of operating systems (daily rounds), including ventilation systems, radiological waste water treatment systems (IX columns), and stand-by diesel generator
Occasional resin and filter replacement for water treatment system.
Minor maintenance of system equipment


NOTE: remember, these systems are radiologically contaminated or potentially contaminated.



Once demolition begins, these individuals will be expected to support demolition activities – materials handling, equipment staging/set up, and other duties TBD
