Aerotek has recently partnered with the land department in a privately-held energy company with over 1,200 employees nationwide composed of five primary business lines specializing in Energy Services and Energy Development.
REQUIREMENTS:
Summary
Basic duties include the interpretation of geological and geophysical data associated with the exploration and development of oil and gas prospects. This includes but is not limited to structural and stratigraphic interpretation of subsurface and seismic data, geological and geophysical input for reserve and economic evaluations, well site supervision and logging, outside prospect solicitation and evaluation, and prospect generation. Objective is to work within an asset team to optimize production and economics of large fields through infill development and behind pipe development plans. This position will be reporting to the Geological Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities.
- Complete field studies to identify infill, up-hole and field extension opportunities and recommend the optimum development drilling and completions program.
- Work with the engineering department to assign risk and reserves.
- Oversee the drilling of wells and support the wells through the drilling/completion phase.
- Provide technical support on an as needed basis to the operation staffs as they pertain to geological and geophysical management for the properties operated by client This includes log evaluation, core analysis, etc.
- Prepare geological and geophysical studies as requested by the working interest owners or by management for properties
- In your area assignment, screen and evaluate third party deals and acquisitions.
- Provide assistance and coordinate with the Engineering Department regarding hearing work as requested
- Keep abreast of new technology and industry development
- Participate constructively in a collaborative, multi-discipline team environment and have the ability to balance conflicting priorities to accomplish company goals
- Support his/her recommendations through oral presentations, written reports, maps, cross-sections, calculations, and other support data.
Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year College or university and a minimum of 5 years experience.
- Tight gas and/or unconventional gas experience preferred.

Rate: $140,000 to $170,000 per Year
