POSITION TITLE: Plant Operations Manger
REPORTS TO: CEO
BASIC FUNCTION: Direct and manage day to day plant operation for production, maintenance, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and other production-related activities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):
- Direct and manage day to day plant operation for production, maintenance, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and other production-related activities.
- Provide direction, development and leadership to organization while maintaining positive employee relations.
- Incorporate corporate policy and quality standards among plant personnel.
- Ensures that leadership and training is provided to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
- Coordinate plant activities by planning with departmental managers to ensure that the manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance goals.
- Ensure that inventory control is maintained to meet production goals for customer delivery.
- Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries.
- Ensure that existing plant facilities and equipment are maintained and that a preventative maintenance program is implemented and maintained.
- Review production, batch and sales reports to ensure that over all company goals and policies are being maintained.
- Ensure that plant safety and environmental efforts are being maintained and that regulatory requirements are being met. Ensure that necessary training and reporting is being provided in a timely manner and that routine meetings and audits are being conducted to ensure compliance.
- Communicate with other departments on a daily basis.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters Degree with 5 plus years’ management experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or Bachelor’s Degree with 10 plus years management experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Must be able to work within a team atmosphere and effectively coach for results.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, organizational and planning skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Software Suite
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required. (speak, read, and write)
