Job Listing: Professional Liability Underwriter, AVP
“A “ rated, nationally known surplus lines insurance carrier is expanding its California operations. We are seeking a senior level professional liability underwriter/manager with significant surplus lines experience and an established network of wholesale brokers. Business development skills are crucial as you will manage all aspects of the relationship with wholesale brokers within the territory. In addition, you will manage pricing objectives, profit improvement, and loss ratio results.
Position requires significant professional liability underwriting experience. Experience with Insurance Agents E&O, Real Estate Agents E&O, Public Officials or Miscellaneous E&O is a plus. Extensive knowledge of the wholesale brokerage distribution system is required. You will also have an in-depth technical knowledge of underwriting, product design, facultative reinsurance placements and a proven record of profitable underwriting of professional liability risks. Salary to $175,000 plus bonus, and full benefits including medical, dental, 401K and flexible spending accounts. This position could become Branch Manager.
