The world's largest manufacturer of computer chips has a contract position available for an Electrical Validation Technician.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Technician will be involved in one of the following three areas:
Test Plan Execution:
Set up platforms and attach probes to specified probe points.
Adjust and configure the high-speed oscilloscope to correctly capture the waveform.
Do a preliminary check on the data collected to ensure that there are no setup issues.
Store the data for each execution plan item after completing the test.
Complete the entire test plan.
Lab Management:
Track all equipment currently in the lab.
Maintain a schedule for regular maintenance of USTC thermal tools.
Maintain a schedule for applying IT patches to oscilloscopes.
Receive all items shipped to the lab, enter these into the appropriate tracking sheets and send out notices.
Ship equipment as needed.
Supporting Rework:
Attach and remove Chipset components using SRT or IR oven.
Attach leads and rework using a soldering iron.

Required Skills for this Electrical Validation Technician position include the following:
Ability to use:
High Speed Oscilloscopes
DC Power Supplies
Frequency Generators
Pulse Generators
TDR
DMM
Other similar equipment used to execute EV test plan
Ability to land probes in extremely tight areas in tight spaces
Basic understanding of electrical circuits
Understanding of Operating Systems and Microsoft Office applications
Attention to detail

Have the ability to embrace change.
Be willing to learn.
