Job Listing: Sr. Structural/Civil Engineer - Bridges

Aerotek CE is looking for a Sr. Structural Engineer with civil / bridge, port and/or water control structure experience to work for one of our clients in the West Palm Beach, Florida area.


Major responsibilities & requirements:

*Senior Structural Engineer on structural and related civil engineering projects, with emphasis on highway and other transportation related structures.

*Will be responsible for analysis and design of various types of FDOT and other transportation structures including bridges, box culverts, and retaining walls.

*Responsible for preliminary and final design; steel and concrete prestressed structures; preparation of contract documents and inspection of existing structures and those under construction.

* Skills in MathCAD and STAAD3 is a plus.

* Requires BSCE, FL PE and 10+ year’s experience.


Additional Management Responsibilities:

Responsible for the direction and supervision of structural department. Coordinates project priorities, staffing schedules, budgets and staff assignments to ensure clients are provided the best design capabilities to meet their needs. Must have bridge design experience as well as general structural projects. Experience with ports & harbors, Corps or Water Management Districts a plus. Microstation experience or ability to learn a requirement. Requires BSCE or MSCE, FL PE or ability to obtain, and 10+ year’s experience.


Additional:

NO high rise building experience
They need bridge, port and/or water control structure experience (2 of 3 would be great)
Light travel is required, maybe 3 weeks a year
10-15years of experience
Need to have some management experience
