Job Listing: Shipping / Receiving Clerk

We are currently hiring for a shipping / receiving clerk, on the 1st shift 6:00 am - 3:30 pm. We are the nations leader in ceramic manufactured parts. All applicants must have the required skills. All applicants must have reliable transportation, be able to take and pass a drug screen and a 7-10 yr background check, all resumes must exhibit consistent work history.

Essential Functions:

*Performs routine tasks under minimal or no supervision.
*May be responsible for generating packing slips, Bills of Lading, and/or invoices.
*Requires high level of interaction with Sales, Planning, Manufacturing, and carriers/logistics companies.
*Coordinates and prioritizes shipping/receiving functions or inventory stock room functions.
*Responsible for routing shipments in a cost-effective manner, or in accordance with specified customer requirements.
*Assists Manufacturing/Engineering in development of packing specifications.
*May act as a go-to person when assistance with procedures, equipment, or information is needed.
*Demonstrates proficient use of applicable carrier systems.
*Sets a good example for others, serves as a good role model.
*Willingly accepts responsibility of sharing skills and knowledge; trains other employees.
*Is proficient at using computer system to enter time and to complete all departmental related transactions.
*Understands and meets quality standards. Seeks to minimize error rate.
*Participates in continuous improvement efforts. Supports and helps to implement new ideas.
*Must maintain acceptable level of performance.
*Performs detailed oriented tasks utilizing intermediate math and language skills with the ability to interpret government regulations.
*May be required to obtain a forklift license.
