Job Listing: Civil Engineer

A City in Dade County has an immediate need for a Civil Engineer with Utilities design experience to work on a part-time basis for the City’s Public Works & Utility Department.

This candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and have 2+ years of work experience. Previous experience with Utility plans – water, sewer and drainage design – is required.

Duties will be assisting the City’s Chief Engineer with civil engineering and construction projects; help with examination of utility plans (water/sewer) and construction drawings for permits; draft technical reports for the Department; respond to other city, government or municipalities, review shop drawings and check invoices for capital projects.

Must possess excellent oral and writing skills and have functional knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.

This candidate will work approximately 20 – 24 hours a week.
