Job Listing: Senior .Net Developer

Client Information: Our client is a large financial services provider based in Rockville, MD.

Title: Senior .Net Developer

The Senior .Net Developer will work together with other team members in an iterative development environment to develop web sites and associated applications for our client’s corporate internet and communications group. This person will be expected to be the senior developer on product releases, contribute to task scheduling, and build great software-based products.

Required Skills
- 6+ years total relevant experience with hard-core software development, building products that get deployed and scaled
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft application environment
- Excellent individual performer who rapidly and reliably completes tasks
- Ability to perform tech lead role for a portion of an architecture
- Good communication and writing skills
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with operational aspects of managing production websites (servers, networks, firewalls, outage processes, etc.)

Required Experience
- Building successful software-based products as part of a small, effective team
- .NET Framework - C#.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, SQL Server
- Microsoft application architectures – ASP, SQL Server
- Microsoft IIS Configuration and Administration
- Usability-centered application design
- Advanced HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, XSLT, AJAX
- Agile methodologies – nightly builds, automated unit tests
- Design patterns
- Incremental refactoring

Highly Desired Experience
- Working on medium- to large-sized public websites
- Developing in/implementing content management systems
- Web services, SOAP, HTTP/XML
- Asynchronous messaging frameworks, transaction processing
- Integrating disparate software platforms through service oriented architectures and asynchronous messaging frameworks

Education
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
