The Traffic Section Manager/Senior Project Manager

Traffic Engineering position is located in our Las Vegas, Nevada office. This position is responsible for management of traffic staff, traffic projects, business development and client relationships within the Traffic Section portion of the Transportation Business Group. This position reports to the Transportation Business Group Manager. The Traffic Section Manager; plans, directs and monitors all aspects of large multi-discipline traffic projects and traffic operations studies with high degree of technical complexity. Is involved with the production and coordination of several projects concurrently. Establishes client relations and is involved with marketing, contracts, design and production. Coordinates and directs the design work through; schematic, design development and contract documents for projects. Conducts project work sessions in conjunction with other project managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines. Works with Business Group Manager(s), Accounting Manager, Project Controller or Company Controller and the Department Manager or Managing Principal for project reviews. Responsible for implementing and maintaining QA/QC procedures within Traffic Section. The Traffic Section Manager may be viewed as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity related to traffic engineering or planning. May plan and develop projects or design activities which have significant impact on major company programs. May plan, organize, and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians on projects. Is responsible to coordinate the staffing and workload of the staff through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule. Is responsible for mentoring and performance reviews of traffic staff. May serve as project manager on larger projects.
Additional Job Info:

Requires 10 or more years of Traffic/Transportation experience which includes 5 years experience at PM level, a BSCE with Masters degree is preferred. Maintains professional engineering registration including Nevada Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 3 months. Preference given for PTOE. Must have a well developed project background in Traffic Analysis, Traffic Design, Traffic Program Management, and management of a traffic group. Prefer individuals with Nevada traffic
