Job Listing: Piping Estimator

Aerotek is currently seeking a piping estimator to work for a major EPC firm located in the Galleria area of Houston, TX. This company specializes in petrochemicals, LNG terminals, gas processing, refineries, and delayed coking units.

A piping estimator must have the capacity to understand the work, the engineering scope definition, understand P&ID's, and must have detail estimating experience. He/she must know how to generate an estimate through final cost (all materials, fabrication, subcontracts, construction, localization and associated construction indirects) for piping work. He/she must be capable to organize and plan his work.

Responsibilities:
-Perform piping estimates for lump sum EPC oil and gas projects.
-Developing piping estimates from drawings, sketches, or scope definition provided by engineering.
-Developing piping estimates from P&ID's and Plot Plans.
-Estimates include all material, self perform fabrication, subcontract, and self perform construction (MH and cost) for the piping work scope.

Qualified candidates will possess 2-5 years of experience. Good computer skills are required and database experience is preferred. Experience on localization of costs to international locations is a plus, as is experience with conceptual estimating.
