Job Listing: Teradata Data Warehouse Developer

Teksystems is currently seeking individuals for a large client.


Our client is looking for candidates with heavy Teradata tuning experience
- analysis and tuning of Microstrategy (MSI) queries, experience working with resources from MSI team, Modeling team, and DBA team to tune the database/table level and related index, DB stats, other.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience tuning batch BTEQ queries also.
- Experience working for a Retailer.
- Teradata Master Certification.
- Assist in evaluating DW performance issues and giving options to improve.

Development Tasks
- Setup/Code/Test some V2R6 Enhancements, environment setup and system testing of V2R6 functionality against current DW Versions at EXP, LTD, and BBW.
- Coding/Test temporary interfaces to current state DW environments as required by various projects. Manual ETL or Datastage tool ETL TBD.
- Part-time DW Testing work for various projects.


Qualified candidates will have strong SQL skills, 2+ years hands on experience with (1)Teradata Utilities (Fastload & Multiload), (2)BTEQ, (3)Cornshell-scripting in Unix environment, 6+ months experience in Teradata V2R5 and/or V2R6 environments, good communication skills.

Preferred: Experience working at a Retail Company, Teradata Master Certification, DW tuning experience, experience with OLE-load utility,
Experience with defining/tuning Teradata PPIs and other Indexes, Experience with Ascential Datastage ETL tool.

Qualified candidates Prior Insurance Industry experience.
