Job Listing: Circuit Board Designer

My client, a silicon photonics technology company, is looking for a Circuit Board Designer to join their team of talented Engineers.

The circuit Board Designer will be responsible for:
- Electrical design of circuits, specification of stack-ups, direction of layout and verification of boards employed in multi-chip transceiver applications.
- Specify and select components and design circuits for high-volume PCBs, including voltage regulators, adjustable current drivers, and low speed digital bus related circuits (i.e. I2C, SPI, RS-232).
- Will work closely with firmware and IC developers to create evaluation platforms as a precursor to product development. Responsibilities will also include working with test developers to build boards to increase test productivity.

Qualified Candidates will:
- 6+ years of circuit board design experience
- Prior experience developing circuits for high-volume, low-cost applications
- Understanding of power/signal routing challenges in compact board designs
- Familiarity with multi-chip, small form factor module design
- A good understanding of PCB fabrication processes, materials, IPC specifications and RoHS requirements
- Familiarity with mechanical/fabrication packaging constraints.
- Knowledge of Cadence capture and layout tools including DesignEntryHDL/Allegro/APD is a major plus.
- High speed design experience including simulators (HFSS, Sigrity, etc.) is a plus
- Effective communication skills

Education Requirements:
- MS in EE with 4 years of experience or
- BS in EE with 6 years of experience
