Our client, the largest automobile manufacturer in the United States is looking for a Regional Fleet Sales Manager to support their Northeast Fleet initiatives.
On a day to day basis, the candidate will be responsible for:
-Meet or exceed all assigned Fleet sales objectives.
-Develop and strengthen Fleet sales volume within assigned region.
-Develop and maintain business relationship with each account.
-Sell national, regional and local Fleet programs and develop sales
promotional programs to generate additional sales volumes.
-Work with FCO FAE-Service/Sales and GMICT Fleet Service Managers to
develop and implement a contact strategy and an annual Fleet sales
business plan.
-Work with regional teams (FCO FAE Service/Sales, GMICT District Parts
& Service Mangers, SPO Zone Mgrs, APMs, DMs etc.) to make joint fleet
Contacts.
-Work with and develop direct accounts (Dealers & DDGs) to pursue new
& existing Fleet accounts.
-Assist assigned Fleets as a “single source contact” providing
assistance and resolving any parts related issues.
-Participate in monthly Fleet Status Update calls providing monthly
updates of fleet accounts and sales.
-Identify fleet customer needs and service requirements and
communicate these to Direct Accounts, National Fleet Sales, and to
regional staff.
-Schedule and hold product training meetings/clinics, sales meetings,
etc. as required for GM personnel and Fleet accounts.
-Attend Fleet conventions and trade shows as required.
-Communicate and work closely with National Fleet Sales Dept., and
Regional staff on all activities.
-Actively participate in market area and regional meetings.
To be qualified for this position, candidate must have:
-Minimum 5 years outside sales or service support to fleet customers
including contact experience.
-Demonstrated ability to sell product.
-Demonstrated understanding of the “fleet” segment customer’s needs
and the reasons they are different than retail.
-Functional knowledge of SPO business (policies & procedures) –
Preferred.
-Ability to work independently and deal with multiple priorities.
-Work jointly with FCO.
-Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with others both
within and outside of organization.
-Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
-Demonstrated ability to understand automotive technology.
-Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Lotus Notes).
-Ability to use canned programs.
-Excellent oral presentations skills.
-Overnight travel required.
