Job Listing: Collections Representative

Our client, a major Credit Union in Rancho Cordova, is seeking a qualified Collections Representative with no less than 2 years of collections experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Actively and effectively collect on delinquent accounts. Responsibility is to minimize losses to the loan portfolio.
- Work closely with the Collection Manager and Branch personnel to ensure appropriate time frames for resolving past due accounts and pro-actively counsel members in sound financial management.
- Make collection calls to all available numbers.
- Make arrangements to bring members up to date on their loan obligations and share accounts.
- Skip trace to locate a member and/or collateral Obtain proper documentation on skips and extensions.
- Analyze and identify possible workout loans on deficiency balance loans.
- Follow up with repossession companies to ensure the collateral is secured. Follow up with auction for a timely disposal of the collateral.
- Respond to credit disputes in a timely manner.
- Be familiar with bankruptcy and repossession guidelines.
- Hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 PM or 9:00 am - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have 2 years minimum of collections experience - NOT from a 3RD-PARTY CALL CENTER.
- Must have experience with skip-tracing and be computer proficient.
- Knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and repossession is required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
