Core Responsibilities:
-Manage the conceptualization, development, design and product improvement activities of the Engineering organization.
-Assure that the above activities are carried out to ensure compliance with all technical and OEM specifications and special customer requirements.
-Structure the Engineering organization to ensure that optimum cost, speed and quality levels are obtained.
-Develop engineering, tool design and programming staff to build a bridge to the future for the division.
-Drive technological change within the division to insure that new concepts that will enhance the competitive advantages of the business are instituted.
-Interface with customers through visits and conferences both domestically and internally to support the sales aspect of the organization.
Education, Experience and Behavioral Competency Requirements:
-B.S. Degree in Engineering or related discipline required. Master’s degree preferred.
-8+ years of experience in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years related to machining in the aerospace industry. Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work effectively with diverse customers and team members.
-Proven team leadership skills with ability to effectively influence and motivate others. Lead by example.
-Ability to conduct technical discussions with OEMs.
-Must have experience with CAD, Spreadsheets and Data Processing Software.
-Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
-Strong customer-focused, quantitative, analytical, and project management skills.
-Certified Manufacturing Engineer preferred
