Job Listing: Video Hardware Design Engineer

Aerotek Engineering is looking for a Video Design Engineer. Company is located in Gaithersburg Maryland. All qualified candidates should send their resume to Edward Kim at edkim@aerotek.com.


Qualifications:

- Design original analog and digital video circuits for A/V routers and switches.
- Design complete electrical signal processing systems for video routing and switching products.
- Coordinate with in-house and outsourced manufacturing operations to deliver a complete, high-quality and well integrated technical product.
- Create schematic drawings, bills of material and documentation.
- Layout multilayer Printed Circuit Boards, PCBs, with Altium Designer or Protel. Experience with another PCB layout package is also acceptable. (OrCAD, PADS, Mentor Graphics PowerPCB, Cadence)


Requirements:

- BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical degree from an accredited 4 year college or university.
- Candidate will have at least 5 years of direct experience with video circuit design, both analog and digital. Additional years of experience and some knowledge of high quality audio signals is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of video processing, monitoring and distribution including video switchers/routers.
- Knowledge of analog and digital video signals and protocols including HDTV. They are currently developing switch and router products with HDTV capability and previous experience is a big plus.
- Excellent presentation and strong communications skills both written and verbal a must.
- Actively participate and present ideas, concepts, feasibility, results and status during periodic review meetings.
- Can work without appreciable direction and interacting with remote development and support teams.
