Job Listing: Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Manager needed to lead a business unit/department/Studio in the development of large commercial projects, some of which will be design-build. Proficiency in architectural design, modeling, documentation, visualization and presentation software is required. Must have the ability to lead project teams and to build and maintain client relationships. Reports directly to the Managing Principal.



Responsibilities:

Ensure projects conform to contractual agreement with client, including
managing project budget to ensure profitability, and
ensuring completion of the project within allocated period of time
Maintain ongoing, positive, and productive client relationships
Oversee consultant activities
Seal plans
Monitor client billing activities
Participates in strategic planning for the firm
Participate actively on the Operations Committee and report on marketing opportunities and staffing requirements
Communicate regularly with the COO and the Operations Committee in order to efficiently manage staff resources and to foster consistent employee understanding of the firm’s goals and standards
Coordinate with support services groups within the firm to fulfill the firm’s goals for marketing, human resources, financial and performance and information technology
Actively participate in marketing efforts and sales calls in conjunction with other Studios and Senior Designers
In conjunction with the HR Department, recruit, hire and supervise staff as necessary to build and maintain sufficient manpower to perform work assignments within the office
Supervise the performance, training and development of all technical staff
Perform employee evaluations and performance appraisals for staff under supervision of this position
Monitor regularly and communicate with staff about how to function profitably
