A DFW area Aerospace company is searching for a skilled and experienced Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join their team.
Position Profile: Qualified Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to design, develop, analyze, liaison and support innovative airborne products and aircraft integration solutions. The Successful candidate will be a member of a highly motivated, multi-disciplined, cross-functional design engineering team.
Competencies: This team member must be able to work from oral and written instructions, be dependable, positive, assertive, a team player and have a strong desire to succeed. The chosen candidate will possess excellent communication skills to expeditiously coordinate efforts through all phases of the engineering and manufacturing processes while contributing in a high performance team environment to meet customer needs. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when required.
- The successful candidate will have strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Experienced in development of ANSI Y14 standard drawings.
- Experienced with a 3-D CAD modeling tools such as Inventor, CATIA v5 or equivalent.
- Experience leading projects and/or teams of engineers desired.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Project software tools.
- Experience with precision mechanism design is desired.
- Willingness to work in an integrated product team environment.
Education/Experience: This position requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering and 10-15 years related work experience in 3D CAD modeling and mechanical design. This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicant’s skills, education and experience.
