Job Listing: Civil Engineer, PE

Aerotek Energy is looking for a Civil Engineer to work for a leading power company at their White Plains location.

The qualified candidate must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Hydraulics and/or Geotechnical preferred)
- New York State Professional Engineers (P.E.) license, preferred
- Minimum of 8 years experience
- Project experience civil/structural, dam safety and rehabilitation, and foundation engineering
- Experience working on FERC-licensed structures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with current codes, standards, regulations and requirements is required

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for:
- Inspecting, planning, analyzing, and designing/preparing detailed construction drawings and specifications
- Providing engineering support during construction phases
- Conceptualization, definition, tracking and implementation of major projects involving regulatory compliance
- Evaluating and recommending selection of consultants as well as interfacing with other discipline engineers and regulators to achieve technically integrated design/analysis and overall project goals
- Generating technical reports that involve power plant civil works; specifically in the area of dam safety and regulatory compliance for facilities including dams, dikes, tunnels, and additional structures
- Projects include, dam safety studies and rehabilitation, desk top studies, maximum flood studies, Emergency Action Plan coordination

This position requires 10% - 20% travel
