Job Listing: Applications Engineer (Field Engineer)

Aerotek CE is seeking an Applications Engineer for an immediate DIRECT HIRE for our oil & gas client here in Houston, TX.

Our client is an independent oilfield service company providing inflatable packers, swellable packers, and downhole products and services to the oil and gas industry.

Our clients headquarters are in Houston, Texas, but provides technical support, products, and services from offices in the US, the North Sea area,
Middle East, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Africa, and Canada. Our subsidiary offices are in Calgary, Canada; Aberdeen, Scotland;and Perth, Australia.

Summary of Responsibilities:
-Provide technical support of oilfield equipment & downhole tools & suppliers or services to new & established customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-Review well schematics, procedures, & other customer documents to develop technical proposals & cost estimates for client's use of proposed equipment or services.

-Propose changes in equipment or processes which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations.

-Prepare sales or service presentations or contracts for products or services.

-Support agents through parts ordering & inventory.

-Oversee post-job follow-up.

-Provide technical training to employees of client.

-Maintain knowledge of current & new products through interaction with Engineering, Service & plant personnel.

Education/Experience:
-Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Petroleum)
-Related experience or equivalent combination of education & experience.
-Must have solid technical knowledge of oilfield equipment.

Preferred but Not Necessary:
-Experience with any of the following: inflatable packers, cased hole completion, gravel packing, open hole completion, line hangers, or thru-tubing applications
