Job Listing: Lead Extrude Engineer


THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FOR A COMPANY LOCATED IN MISSISSIPPI

Currently, they are seeking an exceptional engineer like you with the technical expertise necessary to design, develop, implement and monitor manufacturing systems for cold forming, heading and extrusion. As lead engineer, you will be required to make the business case for new equipment, and will also be responsible for identifying the floor space allocation, developing functional specifications and acceptance criteria and, ultimately, will be in charge of the installation and final run-off criteria. Once in place, the lead engineer will oversee all of the tooling necessary to enable the manufacturing process.

Required Skills

Requirements:

Please be prepared to tell us about how you have, in previous roles, contributed to the design of new products and processes and have performed product and process maintenance.

In addition, we'd like to know about your previous collaboration with employees at all levels, including significant interaction with hourly technicians. Naturally, you will be expected to verify your knowledge of established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, standard work, safety, and ergonomics.

Requirements:
**Previous experience in tool design and development for cold-forming, heading and extrusion processes.

**Previous experience in project management for new capital equipment and machines, including development of functional specifications, development of acceptance criteria, installation and final run-off.

**Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.
Prior experience in cold forming a huge plus!
