Job Description:

Responsible for providing evaluation, advice and assistance to the Battalion S-2/S-3 with emphasis on training and intelligence matters and mentors in the training of the staff of one (1) rifle Battalion, Combat Support Company and Headquarters Company.
Coaches and mentors the battalion S2/S3 and the one rifle battalion, CSC and HHC, in developing plans and evaluating gunnery, tactical and sustainment training.

Coaches and mentors the Battalion Commander/Battalion S2/S3 on the use and integration of training aids, devices, simulators and simulations into the Battalion Training Plan.

Coaches and mentors the Battalion S3 and subordinate units in preparing a yearly training guidance calendar.

Coaches and mentors the Battalion S3 on Annual Ammunition Forecasts.

Coaches and mentors the Battalion S3 in coordinating Battalion assets for training.

Coaches and mentors the Battalion S2, S3 and Staff on tactical training, training management and staff procedures.

Coordinates the Battalion's Battlestaff Training Program by developing concepts for CPXs, STXs and FTXs.

Coaches and mentors in developing a Train-The-Trainer plan to prepare NCOs to instruct tactical & gunnery training.
