Job Listing: Product Engineer
VOLT is looking for a successful candidate to fill the role of a Product Engineer. In this position, the candidate performs basic product design and/or analysis work for a defined project. This person applies existing applications to routine problems, analyzes assignments and determines engineering specifications which must be fulfilled for routine problems or projects. The candidate produces and/or evaluates possible design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance based on specialized knowledge of engineering applications together with possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel.
The product engineer compiles and furnishes necessary information (engineering decisions and reports of pertinent design analyses data) to document the design solution required for building of prototypes and adoption of the design with possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel.
Required Skills
-Skill in using computer aided design (CAD) systems and/or engineering tools and troubleshooting electrical issues on vehicles/products.
-Understanding of engineering principles as they relate to the company product
-Degree in an Electrical Engineering.
-Previous engineering and technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of electrical systems.
-Product engineering experience.
-Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases.
-Prefer a candidate with experience in Electrical Engineer, Manufacturing Design, Harness design, routing experience, Warranty Reduction, Troubleshooting/Understanding of Electrical Systems, or Six Sigma projects
