Job Listing: Transport Engineer

Our client is currently looking for a Transport Engineer for a 6 month contract in Little Rock, AR.

The engineer will order equipment and project manages the growth and change of the optical, xWDM, SONET/TDM, ADSL, DCS and Layer 2 data networks. Responsible for cost efficient solutions, which provide adequate capacity and high network reliability. Works with equipment vendors to ensure proper application of equipment to the network and to identify and resolve network-impacting issues.

Manages multiple projects ensuring network capacity is available and customer needs are fulfilled as promised. Interacts and coordinates with local operations, installation contractors and marketing on a daily basis. Manages capital required for all project needs. Utilizes, queries and updates various support systems, element management systems and records systems required to manage both projects and the network. Identifies process improvement strategies to ensure successful network deployment.

This position will start in the next two weeks. Must be able to pass drug and background check.
