Job Listing: Exchange Engineer with Blackberry

TEKsystems is seeking an Exchange Engineer for a 5-month contract opportunity with a large utilities client of TEKsystems located in Oak Brook, IL.

The position is to assist the Messaging Analysts, who work with a team of Engineers (both exchange and wireless) who actually do all the necessary work involved. Consultant will review daily reports and look for any anomalies related to Blackberry servers and recommend corrective actions, coordinate with Microsoft to troubleshoot exchange, double take fail over technology, active sync and active directory related issues. There are several projects in the pipeline such as implementing WINDOWS MOBILE devices, ISA, Blackberry users load balancing etc.

Client Job Description:


Support Messaging (MS Exchange, MS Outlook, Wireless devices (Blackberry’s) engineering projects. Some current project initiatives include:
Supporting the design and installation of ActiveSync to support wireless devices.
Exchange archiving, working with end-users on education to help clean up the Exchange folders.
Team calendar migrations on Exchange public folders to WSS sites.
Meeting room calendar migrations off of public folders.
Assisting with Exchange server availability reports.
Investigating utilizing Exchange to tie into video conference system.
Investigating an alternative emergency contact solution for wireless device (Blackberry, Palm, and Window Mobile) users.
Office Communication Server (OCS) implementation


Contractor will support the current Messaging staff with project investigation and coordination as well as some messaging troubleshooting. Work with messaging operations on implementation. Other email projects as required.


Skills/Education/Experience Needed


MS Exchange 2003 experience (3+ years)
MS Outlook administration (5+ years)
Blackberry Exchange server support (3+ years)
Windows Mobile experience (3+ years)
Active Directory experience (3+ years)
OCS experience (1+ year)
