BLUE SKY POSITION
This position is made in anticipation of additional manning requirement. Upon a approval, staffing requirements for the position of painter must be filled. The purpose of this posting is to identify qualified candidates for this position before program approval is actually announced. Current timing is estimated at October 1, 2008.

Job Description:
The Motor Vehicle Mechanic repairs,
rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors. Work involves most of the following: Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems. In general, the work of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually
acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.

Requirements:
Must have a HS diploma . Minimum of 36 months experience in the operations and preventive maintenance checks and services of Heavy Equipment such as Terex 5K Forklift, Extended Boom Forklift, 10K and 20K Trams, 7.5K and 50K Crane also 250 GPM Pumps or similar military heavy equipment models. Position may require removing and installing heavy armor plating, working with heavy components and assemblies and some work under arduous conditions.
