The positions that is available is an ETL SSIS Developer. The candidate will be using ETL more then anything else. They will be working with Cognos and SSIS. The candidates must feel comfortable with going permanent with the company. The company wants to bring on someone permanent.

Job Description

The SSIS ETL Developer will design, develop, and implement data extraction, staging, transformation and loading procedures to populate and update the enterprise data warehouse from multiple source repositories. The SSIS ETL Developer will work closely with our Data Architects and Business Intelligence Developers to design and performance tune the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

Extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data into the enterprise data warehouse
Maintain data standards and create ETL and database documentation including data policies, procedures and metadata definitions.
Ensure the availability and performance of the ETL layer
Work to ensure that the associated hardware resources are allocated to the ETL Layer and databases and ensure high resilience and performance.
Provide trend analysis to management team and make informed recommendations.
Troubleshoot SQL Server problems and provide timely solutions.
Work with developers to performance tune queries and build both logical and physical models.
Responsible for developing test plans, error routines, auditing thresholds, job schedules, and required documentation
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is required.
Degree must be from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education.
A minimum of 2 years experience with SSIS and ETL or as a SQL Server database administrator.
Strong understanding of logical and physical data modeling.
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, Agile and iterative methodologies preferred.
Experience with Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence preferred, but not required.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
