Job Listing: Senior Fire Protection Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for engineers and fire protection/code professionals with experience in the Building Codes, Life Safety, Fire Alarm, Automatic Sprinkler, Standpipe and Fire Pump systems. Must be able to work with Architectural Design Teams and help prepare contract drawings utilizing CAD, edit specifications, and analyze product literature. Must be able to conduct code evaluations, provide alternative solutions, and prepare reports for the design team. Will also review shop drawings and hydraulic calculation submittals and provide field observations. Must have thorough working knowledge of NFPA and ICC standards and ability to interpret and apply other codes and standards as they apply to fire protection systems. This position will play a significant role within the Seattle Office and will be responsible for a variety of projects including: corporate, financial services, academics, municipal, sports facilities, medical, research and development, cultural, transportation and government institutions.

Must have strong negotiation skills and experience working with local authorities having jurisdiction.


Job Requirements:

- 6-10 years experience
- MSWord and Excel
- Registration (NICET, ICC certs, EIT, or PE) a plus
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Highly Motivated; Self-starter
- Valid Driver's License
- Very Good References
