Job Listing: Customer Service Professional

Our client, a leading communications company in the West Des Moines area, is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team for a contract-to-hire position. Based on this person's performance, attendance and work ethic, they have the opportunity to be brought on full-time by the client at the completion of the contract.

This position involves taking inbound customer calls regarding billing questions, setting up in-house repair times and appointments and basic questions about their cable and Internet service. The right candidate will have the ability to multi-task, as the job requires navigating multiple computer screens in order to assist the customer.

Once into the position, the first 4 to 5 weeks will be spent doing training. During the training period, the shift will be 8:00am - 5pm. Upon completion of training, the candidate will be able to choose a shift based on their own preference. Shifts will be 8 hours long and can start anytime between 1:00pm and 5:00pm. For example, if a candidate chooses to that they want to start work at 1:00pm, then their shift will be 1:00pm - 10:00pm. This is a Monday - Friday schedule, with no weekend shifts.

If at the end of the contract period the candidate is brought on full-time, they have the opportunity to receive commissions on their calls, will have free cable and Internet services and have discounted telephone service through the client. There will also be a shift differential paid for hours after 7:00pm.
