Job Listing: Senior Accountant

Our client is a large, publicly traded company based in South Florida and looking to bring a Senior Accountant on board. Excellent opportunity for broad exposure and the opportunity to grow within a large organization. We are looking for the someone with an Accounting degree and a minimum of 4 years experience in Accounting. Additionally, a CPA or CPA candidate is preferred.

The key responsibilities include:

- Analyzing, processing and posting journal entries
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Provide analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Complete and review month end entries
- Preparing and publishing basic financial reports
- Preparation of P/L statements
- Application of GAAP
- Comply with internal controls procedures
- Ability to work successfully in a deadline driven environment
- Provide input and recommendations as to the effectiveness of processes and procedures

The candidate will also be involved in analysis work, including correcting and reviewing account balances for accuracy. This position will also provide assistance with analyzing the P/L and balance sheet data. Additionally, special projects may be assigned that include research, problem solving, and training.

Our client is offering a base salary of $60-70k as well as a competitive benefits package. A discretionary bonus will also be part of the compensation package.
