Job Listing: Lead Registered Dietician
Are you looking for new opportunity with a first rate company? Volt is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Lead Registered Dietician. This position requires that you oversee nutritional management within the department and exercises daily responsibility for allocation of resources and coordination of activities. In addition, you will be responsible for nutritional care and support of hospital patients, counseling and instructing patients and outpatients on modified diets. Also you will serve as the lead in their functional area; which includes but is not limited to handling non-routine/complex situations; orienting new hires/new staff members in their functional area; providing input into the performance evaluation process, coordinating work schedules and work assignments for peer groups in the absence of manager/director. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Approves patient menus and nutritional supplements. Collaborates with other hospital services (e.g., medical staff, nursing services, pharmacy service, social work service, etc) to plan and implement patient care as necessary in meeting the nutritional needs of the patients. Maintains pertinent patient data necessary to recommend, prescribe, or modify therapeutic diets as needed to meet the nutritional needs of the patients.

Required Skills
Minimum: Bachelors Degree in relevant area or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired: Master's Degree in relevant area
Chemistry and Biology; Knowledge of HMOs, PPOs, Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance plans .
2 years of previous job related experience.
Registration through the American Dietetic Association preferred registration eligibility required; Licensed by the State of NM
