Job Listing: Commodities Manager

SUMMARY:
Looking for a Commodity Manager to analyze, establish and validate new and existing supply chain partners for a next-generation solar power conversion unit. The ability to effectively manage supply chain vendors and serve as the conduit between the solar company and their suppliers will be the key to success.

TRAVEL: 30-40% of the time to partner sites (primarily in North America)

DURATION: 3-6 month contract with ability to go Direct with the company.

DUTIES:
Commodity Supply Chain Manager will be ensuring the quality, delivery, cost reduction and technology improvements as defined in supply agreements.

EXPERIENCE:
Commodity management expertise and in depth knowledge of:
-Welding
-Stamping
-Metal cutting
-Machining of steel fabrications
-Castings and stampings

Identifying and managing new and existing supply chain partners providing steel fabrication, castings and stampings in the automotive, assembly engine or engine-driven capital machinery arena will be critical to the supply chain manager's success. Proven knowledge of the welding, stamping, metal cutting, forming, machining, fastening, and assembly of metals. Although not required additional experience with gearboxes, mechanical drives and glass will be a plus. Your strong negotiation skills will allow you to effectively manage our supply chain partners and ensure quality, on time delivery and cost down achievement. A metrics / KPI driven management style will add to your candidacy (Six Sigma).
