Job Listing: Air Quality Specialist

The Air Quality Specialist (Asbestos Inspector) will have some field experience. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: conducting or assisting in performing preparatory initial inspections of abatement projects; conducting or assisting in final inspections upon completion to a sure all friable asbestos has been removed. Conducting follow-up inspections to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Testing as well as inspecting equipment and machinery including carbon monoxide equipment, ventilation systems, temporary electrical setups, plumbing, noise and other conditions affecting employees and public health. This person will also be collecting samples of bulk and dusting to assess potential asbestos hazards. Prepare various reports regarding inspections in progress, visual, consultations, final and work documentation; reviewing closing documents for billing of contractor and checking for violations of regulations. Repair and handling of asbestos containing materials and maintain files and records relating to the asbestos operation and review plans for maintenance. Consult with private and public entities regarding maintenance, repair and handling of asbestos containing materials.

Required Skills for Air Quality Specialist Job:
