Your Role:
Individual performs day-to-day intake, screening, blood collection, and administrative functions of the donor program for the acquisition of research bone marrow.
Primary Responsibilities:
Receive incoming donor telephone calls.
Assess donor's interest/ability to donate.
Schedule donor's screening appointments.
Greet donors and begin intake and registration process.
Screen donors to determine their suitability to the program.
Draw blood samples from donors for testing.
Solicit donor feedback via post donation follow up.
Assist with filing and maintenance of donor records.
Place screening and donation reminder calls.
Provides data entry support.
Your qualifications:
A.S. Degree in Biomedical Sciences, or equivalent experience in the medical or donation field required.
Strong Phlebotomy skills required.
Good organization skills, record keeping and planning skills, multiple projects, time management.
Computer software skills including Microsoft Office and telephone skills.
Excellent interpersonal oral communication skills. Must be professional, courteous and tactful.
Independent work skills, demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
Focus on customer service and satisfaction.
