Job Listing: Geotechnical Engineer

Our client, a diverse environmental and engineering firm, located in Boston, MA is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with midlevel experience.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of experience to establish themselves within a growing national firm.

On a day to day basis, this person will be responsible for the following duties:

*Performing geotechnical and geological engineering tasks including field investigation, engineering analysis, and design of dams, tunnels, levees, canals, flood control, hydroelectric facilities and other water resources projects.

*Preparing technical memos, reports, construction specifications and other written documentation.

*Preparing design drawings using computer aided design and drafting equipment.

*Preparing cost estimates, schedules and construction documents, and monitoring construction activities in the field.

Job Requirements:

*BS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering *** Masters degree preferred

*Ability to manage contractors and field crews

*Strong fundamental knowledge of principles of geotechnical or geological engineering, soil and rock mechanics, earthquake engineering and groundwater hydrology.

*Excellent computer skills with technical analysis software, CAD, MS Office, MS PowerPoint and other computer applications preferred.
