Senior Public Relations Manager Job Description:

Our client is a leader in providing marketing solutions including customized email campaigns, surveys, and other customized solutions to small businesses.



Due to continued growth our client is searching for a Senior Public Relations Manager that will be responsible for a multi-faceted public relations program that will increase brand and category awareness on a national basis. In addition you will be responsible for key marketing initiatives across targeted broadcast, print, online and social media.

Core Job Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage core public relations programs across targeted print, online, and broadcast media for internal clients overseeing brand, category and social media initiatives.

- Manage day-to-day public relations activities for national programs in collaboration with external PR firm and company management

- Maintain a press release calendar, refine story angles/pitches that support the brand and products, respond to daily media inquiries and staff media interviews with appropriate company executives

- Research, write and/or edit press materials including press releases, Q&As, media alerts, speaking points, and presentations

- Effectively manage PR budgets within the overall marketing budget

- Analyze media coverage and deliver effective reporting to business management on impact of national media relations programs



Knowledge/Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in a related area such as marketing, communications, public relations, or English.

- Eight to ten years experience in public relations

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and translate product offerings into compelling messages and story ideas

- Strong social media relations experience desired

- Team player able to work independently and take a leadership role in dealing effectively with various internal and external teams/departments and company management

- Combination of agency and corporate media relations experience desired

- Understanding of small business marketplace a plus

- Proactive, creative, strategic, analytical and strong communications and interpersonal skills
