Job Listing: Civil Engineer

DESCRIPTION:
Our client is seeking an outgoing, responsible individual for employment as Staff Engineer. The emphasis for this position is on the broadening of practical knowledge and applying academic principles to ‘real world’ problems under the supervision of registered Professional Engineers. Responsibilities for the staff level position include performing hydrology and hydraulic studies, performing dam breach inundation analyses, reinforced concrete design, performing geotechnical analyses, preparation of construction plans, and construction observation and materials testing. The candidate must excel in both a professional office environment and a hard-working, fast-paced construction environment.


REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates with up to 36 months of relevant experience will be considered for this position.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related (Agricultural and/or Environmental) engineering degree from an ABET accredited four-year institution is required.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) or EIT is beneficial.
- 0 to 50% Field Work (i.e. must be willing to “do whatever” and have a “can do” attitude)
- Must want to and be willing to be involved with client interface.
- Must have own vehicle but WILL be reimbursed for work related mileage at 42+ cents per mile.
