Volt Technical Resources is currently recruiting candidates for an exciting opportunity open in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, FL. This challenging Java Developer role is ideal for professionals who are highly motivated and detail-oriented, and who understand the unique needs of Internet and Web Applications. Our client is a fast-growing Digital Content company focused on delivering innovative services to millions of consumers each month through mobile and online channels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Java Developer will:
Design, develop, test and deploy Enterprise-level web applications.
Participate in planning and review of new releases and feature sets, and will be responsible for day-to-day Application Production support.
This is a Direct Hire position, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in Winter Park, FL. We are among the largest staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated companies in the South and Southeast.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or related field
3+ years of experience utilizing Java
Solid knowledge in Relational Database Design and Development
Strong skill and experience with SQL Queries and Stored Procedure Development
Solid experience in some of the following: J2EE (i.e. Java Servlets, JSP, EJB), UML and/or the WebLogic Application Server
Must be:
Extremely detailed and organized
A high-energy person with a passion for quality
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong documentation and Debugging/QA skills
Solid experience with HTML/DHTML/JavaScript/AJAX
Must be willing to learn Adobe ColdFusion
Experience with Issue Tracking software a plus
Experience with Source Control tools (Subversion, CVS, etc.) a plus
